Love In Action
Many thanks to the good people at Forward Edge International for producing the wonderful book "Love In Action". The following photos of mine were published.
Maria...There is strength and character defined in every line of this woman's face. If we all could portray a life so well lived in our faces, we would be blessed. I miss her.

Want a ride? We got one and what fun it was!
A colorful bounty. The ladies divide the gift of over 500 lbs of wool brought over in suitcases. i wonder how many custom officials raised their eyebrows over them?
Main street of Augustine Gonzales. A bumpy road.
She giggled! She hid her head...and kept on giggling.
You had to love this woman. She laughed, smiled, and played you a song.

A flower seller.
Walk on by? It takes so little to help.

It has been said about Nicaragua that "if you come for a day you’ll never return but if you stay for a month you’ll never leave.”

This was a beach shack...eclectic...perfect for a day in the sun.

A lover of cats opened a refuge for thus said animal...there were 132 of them.

My daughter and daughter-in-law traveled to Nicaragua this past summer to take a vacation. "Why Nicaragua" was the main question posed to them about their choice...a choice into a different world far from the streets of Seattle. It was more a journey than a vacation...one that changes world views. So I post these pictures that Sarah took to give us a glimpse of what they experienced and to give us a chance of being grateful...thanks Sarah for sharing them.
